Where did the ‘Ironglyph’collection of Cryptex USB flash drive come from?
Cryptex USB flash drive was developed by Stanislav Tatarinov back in 2011 and copyrights are confirmed by
the patent.

Cryptex is a very cool and popular product due to its unique steampunk design and extra security element
of 5-digit mechanical combination code (also an element of fun) integrated inside in order to provide the
user with security from instant access to the digital data hidden on the USB flash drive.
No wonder it leads to some of the FAKE copies produced and being sold on popular Chinese and World
marketplaces.
We’ve heard that ‘USB flash drives’ are out of date and people use modern technologies to store and
protect their digital data. However ‘Cryptex’ proves that theory wrong, as USB flash drive combined with a
unique design and cool feature inside becomes popular and people are ready to buy them (that’s the other
reason behind fake copies appearing everyday - because there is future behind that unique product).

How did we find the FAKE copies and the actions taken to prevent it

At first we found the ‘fake’ copies on Chinese marketplaces. We contacted with the administration and
provided all the valid and up-to-date documents that prove the copyrighted design, after which all the
listings were removed.
After that we scanned thought Amazon and eBay marketplaces and also found few counterfeit product
listings. And we are now in contact with those market places and waiting for those listings to be removed
(nearly all of them are removed already).

How to spot the fake copy of our original authentic Cryptex USB flash drive from ‘Ironglyph’ collection?

First of all check the seller of the item. We don’t send our products from China when you buy your USB
flash drive from European website or USA (if you see the delivery from China, than it’s 100% fake copy of the
product).
Check the images (however bear in mind that images can also be stolen from our product listings.)
Check the pricing. The original product cost varies from 35-65 USD depending on the capacity (we do not
sell any USB flash drives with capacity lower that 16 Gb (if you can see 2, 4 or 8 Gb on the listing then it’s 100%
FAKE copy)).
Check the packaging. All of our ‘Cryptex’ USB flash drives come in one package ‘tube’ design - please see
below. High tube for the ‘Cryptex USB flash drive’ and lower tube for ‘Cryptex Round Lock Compass’ version.
Fake copies don’t even have packaging uploaded to the listings.
Check the hologram. Products that have been added to stock in 2019 have a unique hologram on the
packaging (however some of older stock items may not have hologram on original product). The FAKE copies
will not have the hologram on them.
